Painting in Andalucia, Spain
Why not take the opportunity to spend a relaxed week focusing on watercolour painting in a wonderful country house close to Malaga in Southern Spain? The location is a stunningly spacious and impressive country house set just inland from the Mediterranean in the foothills of Southern Spain. Bordered by a stream the house is set in acres of garden with citrus and avocado groves.
I lead the week's tutorials and will give you as much or as little individual attention as you like. The classes are suitable for experienced painters or beginners. Classes start in the morning and cover watercolour techniques, colour theory, drawing and perspective. My demonstrations will give you a comprehensive guide to the effects and techniques that I have gleaned over my years as a painter and will help you to produce a professional piece of work or even a saleable painting!
Breakfast is continental, lunch is served on the marble table beneath the lemon tree and the afternoons are devoted to practising the skills you learnt in the morning. Supper is often al fresco by the house or we take in a restaurant in a nearby village.
Malaga airport is nearby, you could be lounging by the pool, sipping a chilled San Miguel, or a glass of wine less than 15 minutes after we have collected you. A warm welcome is also extended to non-painting partners. We endeavour to ensure that they are just as well looked after according to their personal interests.
The painting holiday usually takes place the 2nd week of September and costs (excluding flights) range from £850 to £1060, depending on whether accommodation is shared. £526 for non-painting partners sharing a room. A 10% discount is available to those who have visited before.
Give me a call, email me or log on to the painting holiday website for more information and a tour of the property.
